Bray modded 1987x clip- is this "BROWN" or WHAT??

Can I ask what mods you had done and what it cost? Looking forward to the next clips. There is a certain something to this amp that few others have. If these are really done at low volumes with no other drive pedal it is impressive for sure

Sure! I got Dave's Mod I/Rework...no other options. It was $575. All that drive came from the amp...no OD's. The only pedals I used were a Phase 90 and an MXR Analog Chorus in spots.

Cool, mod adds all that gain but he adds the "wife control" master so you can get that tone at lower volumes? Sounds like it cleans up well too.

Yep...and he doesn't change the architecture from two gain stages or cascade it. I think the two stage gain is critical to the true brown sound and feel.

Exactly! Bray keeps the Plexi tone structure, but adds gain. Otherwise, you have a 2203!

Been a little distracted the last couple of days...my Egnater blew up AGAIN...so I've been dicking with that.

First off…just killer!

My vote for Hear About It Later because i would like to hear how the Bray does for the clean intro.
