NAFTA was a piece of shit from jump and should be completely repealed.
Yeah about that:

After U.S. President Donald Trumptook office in January 2017, he sought to replace NAFTA with a new agreement, beginning negotiations with Canada and Mexico. In September 2018, the United States, Mexico, and Canada reached an agreement to replace NAFTA with the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA), and all three countries had ratified it by March 2020. NAFTA remained in force until USMCA was implemented. In April 2020, Canada and Mexico notified the U.S. that they were ready to implement the agreement. The USMCA took effect on July 1, 2020, replacing NAFTA.

The great negotiator made the deal we have, so if he’s looking for someone to blame, perhaps a mirror is all that is required.

NAFTA ruined the american manufacturing economy.

That's like saying "Well trump got rid of an economic holocaust, but italy enjoyed the free tooth gold, so italy was upset about it's post WWII economy"

We didn’t want the pollution that came with manufacturing, so we let Mexico take it over. The problem is, we want the jobs, and it to be clean, and to be cheap. Those are competing, not complimentary goals. Besides, we are at 4% unemployment, so there is no one to fill these jobs anyway, except more robots.

4% unemployment. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The snowflakes with 1/2 an art history degree living in their patent’s basements don’t count, since they are not actively seeking employment. The “unemployed” were employed in the past six months, and seeking employment.

Yeah yeah, mom has your lunch ready, run along.

Point well made. I can see that your education must be far superior to my own. I know when I am bested.

Thank you for some common sense. It took decades to get us to this point, it will take decades to get us out and starting an economy war with two of our biggest allies is completely stupid. Especially over a deal he put into place to begin with.

Fixing American manufacturing, if they can even ever be done isn't going to happen with tariffs overnight. It will take years and years if it can ever be done and why most every economist agrees on.
