The game is one of my Fave Queen records.
"need your loving" is probably my all time favorite tune from them.

Such a great rock song.

he did a live FM radio show here in LA years ago and his tone through the ac30/echoplex/firewood guild rig was incredible. better than anything i'd heard of his recorded

same with leslie west, and marc bonilla on the same radio show on different dates.

whoever engineers that show (95.5 klos LA) has some skills...

Arguably my 2nd favorite band of all time...

I'd have to say the album "News of the Day" is my favorite though...the song "It's Late" is still one of my all time fav songs. Brilliant album. "The Game" is up there as well.

In fact my single favorite song of all time is "Under Pressure".

Queen rules. Always has.

Brian May is awesome. not only a great guitarist, he's also an astrophysicist - co-wrote a book, is chancellor of a college, and got his PhD on a thesis called "A Survey of Radial Velocities in the Zodiacal Dust Cloud".
and an asteroid is named after him. If that ain't rock , what is?

also, he built a guitar that had 24 frets - 40 years ago. awesome guy

amazing band. love the highlander soundtrack also.
+1 The highlanded soundtrack is awesome. May has a knack for for putting things in the right spots. Very tasteful IMO.

Damn.....gonna have to check that one out.
I dont listen to Queen that often. But it was cranking yesterday and I was asking myself "Why dont I listen to this more?"

Big Queen fan, yet I somehow don't have the highlander or Flash Gordon stuff. :(

Never been really able to get the tone Brian May does, I love that tone. I did own a Burns Brian May signature for a while, horrible guitar. the one I played at Woodwind and Brasswind was awesome. Ordered one online for a bit less and it was a dog, played and sounded like strings on a 2X4. Even a professional setup couldn't save it. It made me learn quickly not to order NEW guitars online unless they are a great deal or have a nice long return period. The one I played in the store was killer, I should have bought it even though it was a bit nicked up and more expensive....

It seems like I read somewhere that the treble boost circuit that JKD referred to was built for Brian by John Deacon-Queens bass player

I'm a huge queen fan
I refuse to ever do covers....but if I had to play a cover, it would be QUEEN!

the dixieland stuff he did on a night at the opera is the coolest thing ever

starfleet project??

if you ever want to hear eddie and brian stripped down tone wise that's a good one to find.

no landee/templeman jape made ed very normal sounding....super bluesy

That's really sad to hear about inconsitencies in production....the one I saw had great form and fit....but earlier ones probably weren't mass produced.
