Are there still 2 versions of the Bottlerocket? This has really confused me as to which samples are for which version.

Are there still 2 versions of the Bottlerocket? This has really confused me as to which samples are for which version.

There are, but they are very, very similar. The differences are subtle and the amps can be dialed very close to each other. In the videos, the guy (Chad) playing the Anderson guitars is playing the "'80s or lead players" preamp. Audio clips 1-5 are the "Modern" preamp. The guy doing the other videos (Jeremy) including the first one (full play through) is playing through the "Modern" preamp as well.

I have settled on the "'80s or lead players" version Chad is playing for production. I did make a few of the "Modern" preamp boards, but those will be special order. Bottom line is the differences between the two boards and tones are very, very small and either amp can be dialed to sound pretty much the same.

To be clear, in the videos, if you see a White head case amp, it has the "80s or lead players" preamp and if you see the Black head case, it has the "Modern" preamp, but as I said, if you were playing either, the difference wouldn't be that noticeable.
