What a great setup. Damn.
Wal fretlessWhat is that bass on the upper left hand side?
That is what the extra pvc pipe is for. Run pvc out of the enclosure and beyond the view of the drummer to a funnel. He's trapped in there until the song ends. No! That's terrible! One of my favorite things to do at rehearsal is fart right next to the drummer, since he can't walk away mid-song. Now you can't do that without being too obvious, because you would have to stick your ass in the drum enclosure.
Looks like a Wal MkII 5 string. Edit to add looks like it was already answered, I need me a Walnut fretless Wal to go with my MkII fretted one. What is that bass on the upper left hand side?
I’m in the process of converting a bass (Legator Helio 5)to be as Wal-ish as it can. Have to deepen the pickup routes a bit to accommodate some big boy multicoils and pair with a lusithand double nfp filter preampLooks like a Wal MkII 5 string. Not mine, my basses are the headless Status. The Wal and Smith belong to my bassist of 32 years.Looks like a Wal MkII 5 string. Edit to add looks like it was already answered, I need me a Walnut fretless Wal to go with my MkII fretted one.
I know in the past I have tried to get a wal tone without the Wal and the closest I got were the earlier Stingray basses from 1992 or earlier but I finally gave in and got one. At the time they were expensive but not like today. I have heard some of the new offerings like the one you mention and they do get damn close but there is nothing like a real Wal.I’m in the process of converting a bass (Legator Helio 5)to be as Wal-ish as it can.
