Cool. In light of Fixxer's comment above, would you say the classic has more of a classic Marshall bite on the top end, compared to the oversized ?

donbarzini ?

How tight and focused is the low end on the Mills compared to the Bogner and Diezel?
Bump

I'd say it is a little tighter than the Bogner and Diezel. I think it'd be even moreso with a mix of v30s and gk100s.

Wish he had the 65's. :(

He'll get whatever you want or you can send them to him or buy one unloaded..

I figured I'd try the 4 V30's. But on all my Recto cabs the 4 V30's didn't sound good at all to me. Until I popped 2 old 65 watt Celestions in the cab ("X").
But I have noticed my Wizard sounds best to me thru the V30 side of the cab. So maybe...

aren't these cabs stupid heavy?

Like 116 lbs I heard. But thats about the same as my Recto Standard.

About the same as the Bogner, but bigger. To me the weight is not as much of the issue as the over sized, but you can do it man.

I'm a big dude and can carry it just fine. For me its more of a balance issue when I carry it.

Its good to have friends to help you :D

But that's 232 lbs when 3AM comes around.  I'm at my limit with my 100lb Wizard cabs (with GB's anyway).

The standard one is a beast. As I said, the Classic version that I just got measures 29x29x14.25, just a tad smaller than a standard Marshall. I would say it is still heavier though, still requires a strong man like myself.
I'm a little wimp! :D

When I was your age I lugged blocks of ice up 4-5 flights of stairs.

Heavy is good! Should be great solid tone! (Brick sh!thouse if you will) I hear ya though. Lugging my oversized Recto cab up and down my basement stairs weekly is a chore! I can barely do it.

Stairs are the work of the devil! :D

Just weighed my oversized modded Recto cab after hauling it up the stairs. (on our probably inaccurate bathroom scale) It is 112 pounds.  Still lighter than the    Mills!!

I see in your pic that the diezel cab is either a traditional vintage or nyc cab, which is way different than than thier front load, sealed back cab.I like bogner too,(and bogner's got a new cab out too),not too familar w/ the other cab.Love to play through one.I may post a shootout that a few of us 'tone heads' did a while back w/ a boogie trad, and recto, orange, peavey, marshall 1960 lead, and bogner traditional where clearly the diezel was the leader of the pack....I guess it all comes down to what tone and feel youre going after...
