I found this locally and am intrigued. Hockey stick headstock, scalloped board, looks to be full shred pickups and a Floyd. What am I looking at?

It’s the scalloped board that’s throwing me for a loop. This store is blowing out alot of NOS stuff they found in their warehouse This still has the film on the plastic so I don’t think the scallop was after market

As far as I know they didn't offer scallops regularly, so it's either a custom shop order or aftermarket.
You could try and take the neck off and check for stamps or something to confirms it's an original RS neck, but you'd still never know if it was custom shop or after market work.
If it's me, I'd negotiate as if it's aftermarket unless they can produce papers (or email ESP the S/N) to confirm it is infact CS.

It's an Akira Takasaki guitar, but scalloped at the custom shop based on a customer's spec, it would appear. Must be really old.

It's an ESP RS from the jerk era, exact jerk neck and headstock, probably around 2007-2008. The logo is the correct and standard logo for the rs and jerk at that time, and is also used on the ESP SVs at that time. Scallop could have been done at the shop but equally likely aftermarket, since it was a production model and I've never seen one with a scalloped board before. Not particularly desirable if you get your income in yen -- 180,000Y would have been closer to the mark IMO.

Specifically rs/m/blk. I get paid in USD, so these prices are very good compared to US. If it is after market scalloped, it’s really clean. The cavity covers still have film on them too. It’s extremely clean for a potentially 19 year old guitar.
