Don't think anything changed. NR says he DS-modded the amp. splatter says it was stock when he got it.

Gotta agree with psycho and racer that NR steering napalm away from splatter's Yeti to one of his own mods is poor form at best.

NR is obviously online here because he's pushing another amp. The silence is deafening.

I make no excuses. Yes I owe Splatter an apology. I am sorry Splatter. It is not the first time you and I or others have had issue. This is on me.

1) My intention was not to talk Napalmdeath out of buying your amp. The price is outstanding It was to notify him in "Private" that you claim to be doing the BE 100 Mod which is an infringement on Friedman and that I own 3 BE 100's and it was my opinion that Splatters BE 100 mod does not Sound like any of my Stock or modded BE 100's I own. I was warned but I fucked up being honest with my opinion.

Dirty Move? Not intentional, I should have used other builders as well who do fine work. I used poor judgment using myself as an example of inexpensive but thorough in detail. I could give a damn if anyone here buys an amp from me or sends one for a mod.

2.) Dirty Sanchez. Someone hit on it. "Maybe it is what you can not see". With out going into detail I will offer up this. Rip open the Zener's to see what you find then look to see what else you can find if you know what you are doing. It sounds great...period.

If you have an amp I worked (Only 2 Dirty Sanchez's) the Zener's ARE different, have a look you will see or maybe you will not (Where's Waldo?). Look around you will notice some others changes. One significant but I am sure you will miss it too.

Obviously proving someone does not know what he is doing/talking about.

But as stated the amp is stock . I had a friend who also mods amps to look ok at it just to make sure I wasn’t missing something . He confirmed its stock

It's cryptic, but it seems he's saying that he modded it with a slightly different clipping circuit (it might just be different-value zener).

apparently, you cannot read, its not a BE100 mod. I never said it was and if anyone ask me I would tell them its NOT A BE 100 mod .

A classic example of deflection, claim I don't know what I'm looking at then talk about how you were only thinking of others and trying to save someone from an amp that didn't sound as advertised.
Also in other threads, you talk about the "dirty Sanchez " mod as if its completely different than anything anyone has ever done. Now you get on here and claim its just a different value diode.So basically ur changing a value and then taking credit like its your mod. Make up ur mind.

Yeah, sounds about in the same ballpark as a stock Yeti to me. Hard to tell from a YT video, though. The Chupa/Yeti are great platforms for tweaking. If all it is, is changing the clamping voltage of the zeners (like 18v vs 20v or 12v vs 9.1v) and/or changing the slope resistor, then it's no big deal. A few zeners and a resistor from Mouser are like $0.75. These are simple voicing tweaks anybody should be able to do—kinda like changing your car's oil instead of paying a mechanic.

I can walk anybody through it for free. Just send me a PM.

The stock Yeti is a bit too smooth for my tastes. It could benefit from some additional aggression.
