She was modded to a certain Spec as I intended to keep it. "The Damned Dirty Sanchez".

I removed the crap loop, exchanged cheap caps and resistors +_ values. The slope was all wrong and a few other things I will not go into but I know I told you it had very low voltage zener's so it clipped great and I smoothed it out to where I thought it should be. Then there is an assembly of tricks to always keep an amp in the "power band" like a car.

Study the Photo I posted. Where's Waldo lol.

Later man. I might rework some things and raise cap values to smooth a couple ripples out and call it the "Peace Maker" as I refereed to earlier.

Again Splatter I am sorry for speaking ill of your hard work which I find falls short of the BE 100 Claim. It sounds good but it is no BE 100.

When I posted ban him it was mostly referencing that if the amp was not modded but sold as a modded amp, being a lie then that should be ban material. But I also did post maybe the mod is something that the buyer could not see themselves giving the benefit of the doubt.

IMO you did nothing wrong regarding the sale. If it was modded and the buyer could not tell with his or his tech's eyes that is not your problem. Either way I am no mod here and just some random guy so you don't have to answer to me

Respectfully, hang on a second, the way I read it NR proactively reached out to a potential buyer of a private amp sale saying the amp in question, that he modded, wasn’t good or didn’t sound like what someone was expecting. Then redirected that potential buyer to some of his current amps for purchase. It’s one thing to tell someone something isn’t good, heck we all appreciate that, but to sabotage a potential sale and redirect that potential buyer to something he is building/selling is shady and desperate. I apologize in advance if I have it wrong, but I’m not the only one who read it that way.

New Religion says he changed the diodes in the Josea mod. Maybe he did I can't say for sure. The Ceriatone layout doesn't post values for those diodes so I can't say whats stock and whats not.There is a pic below.

In my defense I was looking for a mod that actually made a difference. I was unaware that people would change a value on a resistor or a diode then name what they did and call it a mod. By that logic I could change a value on the BE/HBE mod and call it a "morningstar" or "panda" mod.... oh my bad thats has been done.

First, off it's not a BE100 mod, apparently, this a##hole can't read. Its the Friedman BE/HBE mod that Dave did on marshalls before he started making his own amps. I learned to do them by reverse engineering a Marshall Dave had done that I owned.

I sold over 40 amps since March as a Hobby.

I charge $400. An extra $150 for a Metro loop $85 of which is for the loop.

Just spreading the love as guys should not have to pay 4K for great tone nor should they get short changed on a half ass mod. Just my $.02

Have a listen in my signature. This is ALL ANALOG TUBE without the optional Global clippers engaged.

This is a link here to the only amp I did that I have seen for sale. $1500 is a good deal. You might be able to offer less. I built this for him this Spring but he needs to liquidate some stuff.

To clear this up. I was wrong and apologized as did the individual who reported me to Splatter.

I did not state don't buy the amp. It was/is a great deal. I cautioned him on Splatters offer to mod it if the buyer wanted to BE/HBE specs. As my ears tell me it falls short of riding on Friedman's coat tails. Again I was wrong to reach out with a single PM about a "potential" mod. Not about buying the amp.

Splatter comes on exaggerating the entire PM posting it then taking it down and then going on about a Yeti I modded a year ago not being modded showing his ass and proving to me at least he has no idea what he is looking at sometimes.

I apologized and Sputter keeps pushing. That's fine I will deal with it. His BE/HBE does no justice to the Friedman BE/HBE or a potential buyer of a mod IMO. Never blocked an amp sale just threw out my mod and should have included others that cost far more and take way longer.

Again I was wrong to do so. I even threw a bone to another member with an amp for sale. That too was wrong.

This became confused as Sputter mixed it up pretty good with amps and matters that did not apply to my PM.

In summary, I am a Scumbag who cautioned someone by PM to look at options as Sputters BE/HBE mod falls short of riding on the coat tails of Dave Friedman's work by my ears.

Then Sputter went public posting the "PM" and added shit about a yeti that he was way off on understanding the complete details of the multi component mod (Still is) etc. and continued to rewrite posts further confusing readers inserting photo's and displaying his inability provide detail.

I went back and looked at it last night and compared it to the Ceriatone layout and it is indeed modded.
When I bought the amp its lack of character prompted me to open it up and look to see what had been done. I didn't spend much time on it and because I'm unfamiliar with the amp and more used to looking at schematics and not layouts it appeared to have not been modded.I put the amp in an amp case that I have and it has been there since.
When I saw that New Religion was emailing people and telling them not to buy my amp I was so incensed that I lashed out without doing my homework on my claims that the amp wasn't modded.
Again I apologize for the claim that the amp wasn't modded. I was wrong

Gary can verify that it was just a day or two ago I asked him via PM for his post-honeymoon assessment of your mods. I'm a tweeker too but fully realize others have a better understanding and more importantly, a better ear than I do.
