Can’t add any photos to posts [fixed]

I can’t add a single photo to any post. Chrome or Firefox mobile on iOS 17. Even old photos I know I’ve uploaded before that meet size requirements. It doesn’t throw an error or anything - you select the photo and click add and the page closes and doesn’t do anything as if I never went through the photo selection process. It’s almost like the communication isn’t happing on the return.

Also I haven’t uploaded photos in a while so I don’t have any great idea when it did work vs when it didn’t.
 
It could simply be a server or hosting issue. I'd try again.

Very easy to use, and 'light' on the servers as the server doesn't actually have to host your actual picture. Imgur does it.

Hey, did you have the issue in the classifieds section?
 
I can take a picture from a web browser and drag and drop it in this text box. simple to try.

I did not - I was able to successfully add the pictures no problem a few weeks ago when I posted my Laney for sale in the classifieds. If it helps I just tried to add a photo in the classifieds check post and couldn’t do it there, either.
 
Sounds like it could be a similar issue to the one I have where if a page takes too long to load and I don't cancel it in time, from that point onwards I can't upload any pics to the forum.

In my case I get a little "pop-up" saying there was a parsing error, but in any case the reason I mention it is 'cause I discovered after about a year of putting up with it (working for a few weeks and then not), never connecting the dots, I finally realised that a reboot solves the issue.

I didn't connect the dots for so long 'cause I only reboot every few months or so, so I was more focussed on its persistence as opposed to looking at the timing. Rookie error.

It was an iOS bug. Saw there was an update available and I can post images again after the update.

Did you try the reboot first brother?

I ask this 'cause the OS update would've involved a reboot anyway, no? If so, I'm still curious as to whether or not a reboot alone could've helped seeing as it's been the only solution for me thus far.

I’m on ios/brave and tried rebooting because I’m getting
“Oops! We ran into some problems.
Security error occurred. Please press back, refresh the page, and try again.” .. no dice, might try updating.
