Funny story. Does anyone remember how the album Intuition starts off? " Say Your Prayers Tonight"

Me and a friend would play Blades Of Steel hockey and when anyone was about to score you'd always hear that TNT lyric.

This TNT song is going to replace Bark At The Moon as THE riff to try out amps with. :D Didn't Bark At The Moon replace Unchained?
Hmm well I think I like Everyone's A Star a little more but everyone else is playing 10K Lovers so I had to give into the peer pressure. :)

Ben,
I had a feeling it was that amp because of the clips you sent me on Dinosaur Rock Guitar. What I was thinking when i heard your 10k Lovers clip was how under control and manageable it sounded like the source tone you were using was. It sounds great AND it sounds like it would be so much easier to work with. When I listen to mine in comparison, it sounds like something is going to blow up, but not necessarily in a good way either. It's so hard to try and capture my sound. I fail most of the time. In your clip, like mentoneman said it sounds "produced" already.

Curt, I think that has to do with your OD1s your guys are using. Plus rendering to 44.1khz really hurts the beef of the tone and it's not even close to what your ear hears in the room. I know what you're saying manageable considering my tone is coming from a 1x12". It's pretty warm but there is no sag to it. The word I'm looking for is probably stiff. I thik that's what you're talking about in the other thread concerning EL34s. This AVT has a solid state power section. I forgot to say kick ass Seven Seas solo in your clip :) I wish I could play that cleanly but I suck at keeping string noise low when alternate picking.

Btw hot damn this forum is crazy busy compared to DRG!  I post a thread and get 25 responses in a day?! at DRG it takes like a week for 25 responses!

Oh to be fair, I am running the AVT 20 through the Bogner Cube with a V30 in it

Very cool. I'm gonna be studying this tone as well and doing a vid on how to get it... one of my faves from the 80s.

wow! loved Ronni from way back - but I REALLY dig one of his influences and mentors, Terje Rypdal - check out "If Mountains Could Sing" if you like experimental guitar - also Rypdal did a duet album with pianist Ketil Bjornstad called "The Sea" - not only is it cool instrumental guitar music, it will get you LAID....lol.....

This may be the oldest bump ever.

Study the Boss BF-2. That's the secret that we exposed on here 7 years ago.

Yeah I've read about the trick with those. Unfortunately I do not have one nor a VST of one, so I'll have to
use my ears and EQ it in (prolly 500Hz).

Really, just grab an EQ pedal and MAX the mids and you'll get that honk RLT had. Saw TNT in '89 at a place called Ryan's in St Paul, for the Intuition tour. They were great, and I think Tony Harnell had the highest vocal range of anyone ever. Even over King Diamond lol...

Yeah IIRC he's "opera" trained. Great voice - sings higher than Brad Delp too... (possibly).

Add Miljenko Matijevic from Steelheart to that high vocal range list also
