Reign in blood was Slayers pinnacle. Consistently voted #1 thrash album of all time. Guess you had to be there to truly understand its significance(fuck,I am old).
Show no mercy was the one that grabbed me by the short hairs when it came out. Learned that whole album right away,and never went back to wimpy,slow metal(wow,I'm older than I thought,thanks 7 stringer,lol). Then hell awaits and haunting were great,some classic abet badly produced slayer material.
IMO,silent scream and ghosts of war were the only tunes on south of heaven I really got into enough to learn the whole songs. Guess it's just the uptempo tunes that I really get into. By the time SOH and seasons came out,I was only finding a few songs on each album that I was really digging. Blasphemous,I agree,but that's how I've seen slayer for a loooong time.
