This has been an amazingly civil thread, like 99% of the threads on Rig Talk. Though some of us do like to have fun with each other, if anything in this thread is enough to make someone leave Rig Talk, well, I really don't know what to say. I'd imagine quilting forums can get more heated than this thread. :D

I can promise that I will continue to make fun of Canada (bands, military, living room color fashion etc) every chance I get because that's about a 5 year old running joke between Digital Jams, Randy Van Sykes and I. Obviously no real offense is intended at Canada, well not that much anyway.....

  Yeah Canada sucks hoser. And hockey blows too.

It just doesn't get any more 80's Canadian than this... "Action" by Streetheart

the intro is so much like Loverboy's "Turn Me Loose", production-style wise... start with the synth, bring in the groovy bass, next enters some groovy guitar stuff... he even does the octave up crazy scream, like Reno, halfway through.... I'd love to have heard the discussion surrounding this track when they were writing it and recording... "let's copy "Turn Me Loose", we'll have a sure fire hit blah blah" compare, discuss:

To be honest I got a massive butthurt PM once from some guy that was from Canada wanting to beat my ass with a bat when I was giving Adam his daily whipping

Adam, I see the toothless women of Canada brought back some pride for hockey world that the men could not do

Loverboy drummer and guitar player in that version of Streetheart if my memory serves. Used to do this song playing bass on the road back in the 80's -- my favourite song of the night.
