How about those work visas?

Still waiting on that one

Traveling up the east will be the first move for us. We want to take it in before we think of settling.

If you want to come and jam on some cool amps, be my guest, I'm not part of the 59% racist ;)

Unless you're Jewish

Didn't read that article and no, I'm not Jewish

Always liked that punchline

Another vote on BC, I live in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island and love it. I came from Ottawa and as much as I love the city, I have no plans on ever going back, I'm a BC boy now.

I was born, and raised in Alberta, I spent a year in Winnipeg, and i used to travel all over Canada for work. I am in the process of moving to Vancouver island because that is my favourite part of Canada by far. It just has such a laid back vibe, and the parks, and rain forest are awesome, plus very little snow, and mild winters. It has a lot going for it!!

When I was in the Navy we spent a week up in Victoria BC. LOVED IT!!

And yes....I bought a USA Jackson soloist at a local pawn shop when I was there.

That place would be excellent to live from the little I seen.

Whereabouts you located? I'm pondering a move back there upon my jungle/surf sabbatical.

Just drove through there the other day getting off the ferries on my drive to Victoria. I typically go to Schwartz Bay, but I was just about to hit Vancouver at rush hour and decided to go Horseshoe-Departure. Never like the drive from Nanaimo to Vic though, but this time it was alright - no cops so I was hauling 130-140kmh on the double lanes.

Lol, you live in Vic?
Whistler. But I have friends/family on the rock. Had to come over to check on my mum...had a health hiccup.

I went to UVic back in the day and also lived there for a number of years thereafter. Loved it. But a pro-skiing gig had me relocate to Whistler a long time ago. I just haven't left.

My wife and I (plus two offspring) are considering our options again. We love Whistler, but it's kinda getting done for us. Then again, it's filled with a lot of misfits so it works for me

Nice, I hope you're mom is doing okay. Whistler must be very nice, but pretty expensive from what I've heard. Let me know the next time you head through Nanaimo and maybe we can meet and talk gear.

I am looking at heading to Victoria, but since my wife and I don't have jobs lined up that might change. We are going to try to find a reasonably priced rental for 6 months, and see where things go from there.

So we're thinking of either trying to go to Vancover/BC on our way back from New Hampshire this Christmas. Don't really know which one yet and that doesn't mean that Montreal, Quebec or Alberta is off the table yet.

Feasibility is the big thing for us we'd be driving back to NC with a dog and cat in tow plus whatever we've picked up along the way. Basically baggage for us.

Thanks for the awesome suggestions guys and I'll stay away from Windsor.

Business: Cool points about Montreal/Quebec above. I'd love to finish learning French for personal use and business use down the line.

Thanks man, she'll be okay. Fingers crossed, onwards and upwards. And ya, when time allows for sure we can shoot the shit on gear and music. Won't be for a year or so, but I'll be logging in to RT periodically when I'm doing my thing in the sun and surf.

There's employment to be had for sure... And the 6 month rental is a smart move. You'll dig.
