That chewiness is def his sound! I guess the Friedman was a smart business move but not the ultimate sound he had in his head..
 
chewy mids with a crisp top and a nice low end...no clank.

Which is pretty crazy considering how good his Friedman rigs sounded. I caught them in an arena with Deftones and Mastodon and when AIC broke into “God Am”……dude…..fuck the kick drum thumping your chest, the guitar was thumping everything while filling the whole arena, it was so damn glorious. Never heard him sound bad live but that particular show was just insane.

Hell yeah, killer tones throughout.... I always loved this one, prime example of the huge huge part Cantrell played in the Layne era AIC sound especially vocally

Also, that album cover is epically disturbing as fuck hahaah

Which was released right at the time of our famous “why did you buy that?” moment (you fahka hahahah) that sent me down the rabbit hole. You were 100% right. That first all black Shiva I got from you nailed those D Trip sounds, that was a killer amp. Your Snorkler is killer, full circle now!

I was just thinking about that and still feel bad for putting it that way.. It was kind of dickish sounding thing for me to say, but it was well intended. Hawkey did a similar thing to me a couple years prior. LOL. I had recently gone through a Mesa phase, (triaxis/290. Mark IV etc. I thought they were great until I got a VHT 100 CLX and then my first Ecstasy,Shiva and that purple '89 SLO. I could not get rid of the boogie stuff fast enough. So you when you told me you bought that boogie, it was a knee-jerk response...

Haven’t installed the new signature one yet but I got a reading of about 15.25 or so, so a little less hot than the afwayu. Will let you know more once I get it in a guitar. Not sure when that’ll be though - may be a while

Thank you man! I have an Afwayu in my Jackson T-1000 & I like it but i haven't been able to play it much recently.

I was invoiced for the new Jerry pickup but never went through with it cause I don’t a have a guitar in need of a pickup and wasn’t sure if it would match any of my lesters. What did it end up looking like?
