i thought i saw a 5 pin MIDI plugin on the marshall mod he does.

to be honest the way people talk about their axe fx's i would rather get an ultra + a really nice strategy 400 power amp and have the best of all worlds for STILL half the price.

and also probably hang with this thing in tone.. someone with an axe fx ultra that has some free time to post some comparison clips?

but this amp is ages ahead of every other engineer out there in the tube world, it takes PIC and PLC programming to a whole new level.

no wonder it took him 5 years to get it completed.. but still you gotta think $5,000 in 1 amplifer is what i have in my entire setup

I have the AXE FX ULTRA.... It is good for when I am at my girlfriend's apartment in manhattan and I want to write, but it is not as good as the axe fx forum would lead you to believe. Don't get me wrong, it smokes pods and waves gtr, but it is not near as good as a great real amp doing the same kind of tone. Great for writing in the city though.

Oh, no you didn't...

If this amp sounds good it is easily worth $5k. Diezel VH4 is what $4,200? Bogner's new XTC $4,000? The Fish $2,800? Give me this on my 2 favorite amps and I don't think there is a tone I would want that I couldn't get live for the rest of my life. I understand some guys have no need for this. They have 2-3 tones they like and never use anything else. But for those of us that play a lot if different styles, or in multiple bands this is really a great thing. But the key really is how all the tones in this amp sound...

We are playing a warm up on Tuesday, September 8th @ The Note in West Chester. We will have 5-6 shows in New York in September and October that should be firmed up soon and a date at House Of Blues in Atlantic City in the fall as well. We have been busy finishing the album for next year's release.

I have the XTC, the VH4, and an original Fish. The XTC is for sale, the fish is awesome with the VHT power amp and the VH4 is great too. This Caswell is more Marshall then all of them and it has all the Marshall tones. The programming is sick. It makes it fun to create a set with the presets for a show. I have not played it live yet, but I will in September. :D
