I am using the Two Notes Zill cab with Rednecks and it is amazeballs. Need to try the real thing.

What's up fellas? I just started using the Redback IR. It is a bit darker but eq changes help for recording just fine for my tastes.

2 short clips, little over a minute and change.

Thank you for sharing. I like what I'm hearing.

Best you keep an eye on them
They are likely to take all your stuff when you pop out for a minute

I tried the Redback IR's the other night too. I didn't really care for them either... as mentioned kind of dark sounding. But if I totally redo the amp settings from scratch it sounds better. It's too bad, was hoping this speaker would be the shit. Looking for something to pair with two v30s to thicken up the sound a bit.

If you try the individual mics, say the SM57, try a "bright" with it. Not dark at all and still different than a V30 sound. On mine I blended the SM 57 Thick and the 421 bright.

If you use the individual mic samples.

Or try the OH Lynchback to mix if you want more mids/thickener with a V30 IR.

My two cents anyway.

What's the point? G12H100s and K100s have more than enough headroom and stiffness.

Is someone out there running a Triple Recto into a 1x12 cab?
They don't make the G12H100 anymore. It's a shame, they're great speakers.

I have two in a 4x12 with two alnico EV SRO12's. It's a cab that likes to see some power, but once you hit it with some real juice it sounds huge.

I dunno, bottom end is nice and tight, but nothing seems to sound great through them.

Maybe provably need to mic them up again and maybe try mixing them with something.

Could also be I’m just more into cutting thrashy type tones the last few years and these just aren’t for that.

I have a redback mixed with a V30 in a KSR 2x12 and really like it. Mixes really well with a harsher V30 vs a newer darker variant too.

Debating pulling 2 v30s from my 4x12 and mixing redbacks. They almost sound woody to me but man the v30 mix with them is just fucking awesome
