Celestion greenbacks or Celestion vintage 30

If you just wanna sound like Van Halen and do old rock tunes get the greenbacks, otherwise go with V30's. The more recent UK made V30's sound pretty damn good, they have none of that fizz that a lot of the post 2004 V30's have, and don't sound spikey to me at all.

True. There were some awful sounding V30s around that time, but the newer ones sound fantastic. I am not specifically after EVH tone with my speakers, but I find I can get that tone easily with the modern V30. I am using the UK-made Mesa V30 to be clear.
