I'm waiting for my Ceriatone Yeti 100watter to be finished and ship. Head cab is being done at the moment.

The Yeti is a slightly tweaked, darker, tighter, more vintage version of the Chupa (from what Nik has told me) but with the same features and gain.

What a bargain these amps are.

Mine was $1300 delivers to my door in Aus...for reference, I would struggle to even buy new a L6 Spider Valve (let alone a DT50 - $1800 for the head), a Marshall JMD or any other half decent entry level PCB valve amp for the money this handwired, handmade monster cost shipped.

I'll see what I can do when it arrives (might be a week or two yet).

ATM I've got only v30 equipped cabs (Orange 212 cb) but may get something with greenbacks eventually if it's a better fit for the head.

I still think it should sound good with it as it's a great cab which I've used for an AC30 and even modellers and preamps.

I'm hoping it's going to be a fair monster of an amp!

I can't say enough good things about how great Nik has been to deal with. Polite, timely and so very helpful.

The gut shots from FourT6and2's Chupa look great and that clip was feral (in a good way!). I think it's going to be an awesome amp.

I have both a V30 cab and a Greenback cab. The Greenbacks sound much better with this amp. The V30's are ok. But the top-end gets harsh and fizzy. The Greenbacks give the amp a really nasty (in a good way :) ) mid range and keep the high-end from getting overly harsh.

I got my Chupa (50 watt, non-yeti) last week. Terrific amp, and seems to be well put together - it "feels" quality if that makes sense. The sounds you can coax out of it are amazing! It wasn't quite as intuitive as I thought it might be, but after looking at the suggested settings in the manual and then tweaking from there, I found some very unique and usable tones. I'm waiting for my "Klein-Ulator" so that I can run some effects. The loop is passive, and won't drive my effects unit. I'm looking forward to covering up my shitty playing with some effects very soon! ;)

Great amp, and I got a killer deal. It blows anything else I've ever owned outta the water.

I'm playing it through a G12T75 loaded Marshall 1960A cab, but I'm really considering getting something with Greenbacks. I'm not a fan of V30s, and I think that since this amp, being as mid-strong as it is, might get a bit harsh with that speaker.

I love my chup 50. I don't really use the metal mode, yeti sounds like my cup of tea. Hmmmm

The more I play the Chupa, the more I like it. Very versatile for one channel. The Klein-Ulator REALLY adds a lot of noise though. Frickin' horrible. When you play loud, it goes away though. ;)

Any word about it?

Apparently the head cab is finished and I think it's about ready to ship...well I am hoping it is anyway!

Maybe another week...? Not sure how long it takes to head over to Aus and clear customs etc. I'll be wrapt if it is here by next weekend...please be here by then...been waiting since March so I'm pretty keen to test drive it. Even setting up a new pedal train Jnr to make it more flexible if I need it.

anyway u slice it these amps are a great value for the price and I love the fact that they arent pcb. One thing I noticed in most of the chupa clips is that the amp seems to have that grinding tight lowend/mid to its voice when playing chords that I dont dig as it sounds less marshall and more modern or mesa to me. I like the added features and options but would like it to still retain the marshall character, does anyone know if the yeti would be a better fit for me?? Anyone own or try a yeti in person??

The Yeti as explained to me is darker, tighter, more vintage but with just the same controls and gain and aggression as the Chupa.

Nik said it may do the vintage Plexi and old school Marshall stuff more easily than the Chupa as it's been revoiced. It's not a radical departure I imagine but I'll never exactly know without having a Chupa to compare it against.

I was ordering a Chupa as there was no Yeti and Nik told me about a new circuit he was releasing soon...I took the plunge so I might actually have one of the first consumer Yeti's made...there couldn't have been many anyway.

Yeah, whatever way you slice it, these are extremely well made, kick arse amps for the price of a lower quality new amp.

Mine has now shipped!!!

Hopefully it'll be here in about a weeks time.

Nik even did a custom tolex job on it which they don't do anymore...it might be a bit of a mad colour scheme but it'll sure be original!

Anyone have the Yeti yet?

Yeah it's a really nice amp. Had it about 3 weeks.

Sounds good at loud home levels and it is great at drummer level volumes.

Really versitile as it can do a really nice clean, crunch through to high gain saturated Marshall toned 'metal'.

I've posted some pics in another thread.

What styles of music do you use it with?

One of the best modded Marshall sounds out there. Love my Chupa 50. Sounds great through just about anything. G12T-75s, G12C-30s, Greenbacks (20 or 25 watts)--just about everything I have. Plexi mode sounds awesome cranked up.
