Was at a gig last weekend and a dude shows me one of his guitars. It's an old Charvel model 6 but was a 24 fret model but was set to the scale length of a regular Charvel 22 fret. Seems like a perfect guitar to me. I've gone 24 fretters in the past because I have trouble with upper fret access because I have short stubby fingers and a crooked pinky. I should have played trumpet right? Anyway, a shorter scale with 24 frets seems pretty cool for me because I can get to 22 without being on the very highest fret. Only problem I can think about is I assume they frets are closer together up at the highest notes because of the scale length. Didn't get a chance to play it and didn't really have time to discuss too much detail with him since I was setting up PA and trying to get a sound check done, plus he was hammered. But anyone have any experience with a Charvel "dinky"?
