Other than specialists, the regular US military firearm training doesn't impress me at all. The fact that you think being a "veteran" automatically means jack fucking shit with regards to shooting skill is laughable and absolutely tracks with you being a fucking retard. If you made most of the comments you make here about the military, with your random internet pictures that you for some stupid reason think convinces people you actually have a clue about anything military, in front of most of the soldiers I know and train with they'd punch you in your fucking mouth.

Even the "every Marine a rifleman" is mostly just empty rhetoric. One of my best friends was in the Corps and told me they were basically certifying hosers who couldn't shoot by cutting them breaks and getting more chances otherwise the CO's will come down on the range instructors because they will assume something is wrong with their methods since they don't have enough people qualifying. It's just typical government inefficiency.

Wish I could hit the range with you Floyd. I wouldn't be any good but I'd have a lot of fun.

My best friend, a guy I've known since grade school and with whom I very nearly joined the Marine Corps with on the "buddy" program, is a combat marine vet. 16 years, active in desert shield, desert storm. He was an armorer. Guess who works on his guns AND outshoots him.

It's just like anything. Natural talent comes into play at times. For most people if you don't consistently practice you'll never improve; or even be proficient.

I can't tell you how many rounds I'd go through in a week during my competition pistol days just to keep up. I haven't been to the range on a regular basis in years. I'm still half decent in keeping shots within the target, but without the consistent practice I'm pretty shit for keeping a tight grouping.

All that as a long winded way to say dumbass Dan is completely full of shit.
