I was doing my daily browse of craigslist when I noticed this ugly yet awesome guitar:

Anybody have any background info on the series? I would love a Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader superstrat.

I remember those. I work at a store that's a Fernandes dealer and we sold that whole series back when they were in production. This might be the superstrat you were asking about? They never did a luke one, not to my knowledge at least.

I had both Boba Fett Guitars the strat and travel guitar with built in speaker..
The strat seemed like junk other than the paint job, I didn't play it through an amp though because I quit playing for the last 6 years or so..
But I did play it for about 10 minutes without an amp and didn't like it..
I bought it as an investment so I ended up getting around $1500 for it ...

The travel guitar was fun I liked it a lot but it was an investment that I sold only a few weeks after buying it..

All of the Star wars guitars were limited edition to a few hundred,
Obviously with the costs of Licensing Star Wars rights from Lucas the left over budget for the guitars probably barely covered the paint jobs..

I think my 20 dollar Craig's List guitar is about as ugly/Fugly as you can get :confused:

Damn thing plays so well I decided to sand it down and paint it :doh:
