So I got a kitten...the first thing I thought of when I saw him for the first time, My Diezel Vh4. I named him Diezel... I am such a fan boy....

It fits him though haha... It was either that or Lotus...

Just goes to show how much these rocking amps have inspired me.

Thank you, Peter!

Really nice!

I've been planning to get a Registered German Shepard (preferably black or white) and naming it "Diezel".

Congradulations! What a beautful kitty, and of course the name is superlative!
Your kitty also come with the colors befitting a Diezel amp.

I am very sad. I had to put him down on Saturday the 15th. He was born with a dormant blood disease and it randomly hit him pretty bad...

All the more reason to always play through my Diezel.. he always loved to lay on my VH4 :*) I will miss the little guy :(

I am sad as well, but he loved to lay around on the VH4 so now I have more motivation then ever to really rock this amp! don't want to let the little guy down :*)

That's tough man. It's weird how animals become family members too. Write a song in his honor! :)

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of the kitty. That really sucks for the little guy, and of course you!
Don't give up on getting another kitty. A friend of mine has sent me kitties since 1988, as she is a himilayan breeder and wanted her retired breeding cats to go to good homes. I have had to put down 7 of them so far due to old age, or age-related organ failures. It doesn't get any easier.
Currently I have two of her kitties that are 8 years old and only a few months apart. I cannot imagine my life without them.

Im extremely sorry to hear this.

I don't want to sound an idiot or make you feel any worse, but this disease sounds a bit strange to me if it is blood related? Do you happen to have a name for this disease. Could it be FIP or HCM? My wife and I have been breeding cats (Bengals) for several years I don't recall ever hearing this kind of feline disease.

I can't remember exactly what it was. I believe it started with a "P". At first, the Vet thought he was poisoned with Decon. But, after the blood test they came to the conclusion that his blood was not able form clots :/ pretty much he had a problem that way older cats can get, but its still rare. The vet told me that what happened is he was born with it, it laid dormant for about 5 months and then one day he did something, probably while playing, to over exert himself. What they think happened and why the initially thought it was Decon was he fell when playing and hit his face causing his tooth to cut his gum. Decon causes bleeding from the mouth and so they thought it was that at first. If it was that, he could have been fine, but I also don't have Decon nor have I ever had Decon. So, that confused me. If I recall correctly, they told me something in his blood was at a 15% level when normally it should be 30-35%...

Now, after some research, I found out the lady who sold me him was fraudulent and that almost every animal she has sold has not made it past 2 years :/ I guess she keeps them in bad enviorments and doesn't feed them appropriately. I mean, Diezel was really healthy looking and alert. I didn't know how old he was when I bought him... I thought he was a month old by his size, but I found out, through the blood test, he was born in april and I had gotten him in july... so that means he was way small and wasn't getting food when she would feed them. She did not take care of him at all. I just wish they could pin her for animal cruelty :/ they said she pretty much runs a mill of animals :(

Still not hearing why Diezel had to be put down. Please do tell.

I tried my best explain what I know in the post right above yours ^

I was at work when it happened and my vocalist took him to the Vet for me. He was put down shortly after because he would not have lived much longer (48 hours at most) due to loss of blood. That wasn't just the only problem, it was killing him slowly as well. Even if they could have stopped the bleeding he would not have made it. I guess it was causing internal bleeding as well.

I know that because he wasn't able to form clots in his blood, he had swelling in his face from blood building up into pockets. The inside of his ears were redish purple as my vocalist told me.

I do have the paper work at home and my vocalist knows a lot more then I do cause she was there and it is hard for her to tell me about it cause it is upsetting for her. I haven't looked att the paper work for more then just to see what I owe the vet cause it is hard for me to read what they did. Makes me too sad... I will look at it soon though and I will let you know what it was exactly.

So, I just got off the phone with the vet and the lady pulled up his papers and I was totally mistaken. It is not a disease, so to say, but it was rather a case from (if you read my last couple of posts) him being inbred :( that happened because of that lady who sold me him and her horrible enviorment that she was breeding animals in. So in the end, it turned out to be a bunch of different complications that hit him all at once just almost like a coincidence. It was a problem with his genes from the start and included the blood problem, a heart problem, liver problem, kidney problem and a bone marrow problem. She said it can be weird with cats in cases of insest cause they can be perfectly fine a few hours before they start dying, which he was.

It sickens me really. That lady who sold him to me, who at the time worked in a pet store, is technically murdering animals. I really want to find a way to stop her.
