We don't want your fatty diseased beef. We have our lean and disease free beef. Our farmers don't need to import your bovine diseases.

You will however pay more for our beef to make your hamburgers leaner under your food laws. So sucked in.

I like Australian and New Zealand grass fed lamb. Not looking forward to increased prices but watching TP melt down for a week straight is worth it.

I love lamb and tariffs on Australia protect TX lamb and goat operations. TX is number on ein sheep and goats in the US so one more plus to the tariffs right there.

I don't have any hate it's just that Thumbpicker is my favorite Australian to argue with. Dude is the consummate CPA. Probably screams at people to turn the tv down at home during tax season even when it's off. I am familiar with these personalities.

The reason for the hate is these reciprocal tariffs aren't reciprocal. It's just attacking a friend and ally for no good reason other than to try and make the Australians pay for the US deficit which we don't even contribute to because they have a surplus with us. Then you get US politicians saying they should run the score up on us or something equally offensive implying they already win in trade with us and they should increase their lead by further screwing us. This is exactly what Donald Trump doesn't like countries doing to the US. So it's completely against "do unto others"... The behaviour of the US President and his administration is reprehensible in this instance. This is not the way you treat friends and long time allies. Therefore if that's the way you treat us then you are no longer friends - you are enemies.

I think you'll find most people hate bullies and most people hate being attacked for no reason - or a reason they have nothing to do with ie. blamed by association - oh they are from another country so lets whack all countries because they all do this to us... Well we didn't do anything.

As I said you've been getting the better end of the deal for years like a fair weather friend now your number has been called. Thanks for your contributions towards eliminating my income taxes. In some small way you have assisted others in achieving the American dream. Buy American, buy often.

What better end of the deal? we charged no tariffs on you. You had a trade surplus with us - so you go the better end of the deal. You really don't understand anything do you. We were the ones getting screwed - not you.

This is kinda what I'm referring to, though. People keep saying we're enemies and hoping we suffer and whatnot as if anyone here has control over it.
I take no issue with people, only their governments. Sorry if y'all got caught up in this, but it is what it is and it makes sense to blanket and not play favorites to anyone, even if they're not part of our problem. It's just setting boundaries, even if it doesn't appear to be fair. Probably wouldn't expect it to last forever once some major balance starts occurring elsewhere.

You must not read well. You used unfair practices like not allowing beef from the USA. If we stopped your lamb imports for the same bs reasons you'd be stomping your little feet all the same so pipe down and thank you for paying my income taxes. You are def a good accountant in my book.
