Ok, this may be difficult for many, however.....

Your stuck on a deserted island with only 1 album from the 80's with the ultimate amp tone, what would it be?
Again, you ONLY get 1 choice. GO!

Billy White & John Norum put this out with Don Dokken in 1990.

Just a great album.

There are to many great albums to choose from the 80's but this is a nice one.

Appetite for Destruction GnR. Easy one...

Don't forget that when you are choosing an album tone, you are also choosing the producer who made it all sound that way.

White/Norum are KILLING IT on that album wow. Never heard that one. Love Norum though! that snare though......so 80's.. I am guessing that is Mick? Dokken had the WORST sounding drums on albums.

+1 for Fair Warning. Donn didn't do anything extreme but it sounds great. Some pre delay on the reverb opened up the spaces.

For the 80's i would pick FAIR WARNING.
Love the Tone edward had on that record.

Definitely Fair Warning is one of my favorites, but there are many others like Dokken Back For The Attack and ULAK, Loudness Thunder In The East and Lightning Strikes, Whitesnake 1987 and Blue Murder S/T, and TNT Knights of the New Thunder to name a few.

Excellent point! Maybe i'll start a new thread for that, best producer/or album of all time!

Accept-Staying A Life. Only get one, going to need more than 28 minutes.

Great album. I heard Turn Up The Night the other day for the first time in years. Man, Tony Iommi was on FUCKING fire on that album.
