Kings X is one of the best rock bands of all time. Non-negotiable.

Criminally talented and under appreciated.

You got that right!!!!!

Killer band, and I've only seen them once, and own 1 album.

Groove, riffs, soul, hard rock, harmonies...all trio..for the win!

I concur. 3 piece, 3 part harmonies....must have seen them 6 times over the years. One of my favorites ever. Ty has always been underrated...great vibrato and such a smooth bluesy player.

Yeah always enjoyed his tone. Solid state Lab series? I heard that was always his rig. When I saw them in '93 for the Dogman tour his rig was covered up..we tried to see what he used but someone blocked us from getting closer during teardown lol...

Can't say it any better than that

Dogman era and tour was Mesa Dual Rectifiers with his Zion model guitars. He quit using the Lab series L5's and Fender Elites after the fourth album. He said that rig was notoriously noisy and could be a pain on the road. My favorite tone he had after the fourth album was Ear Candy which was Marshalls.

I agree with all that was said about them being such a great band and not getting the respect and success they deserve.

only upside is that when they roll through our town for a show it's always fairly cheap to go see them, and usually a more intimate venue. Been a while since they were here though.

I'm with you Jim. They are my band!
Yep very important band IMO

I named my son Ty.

Favorite band and guitarist ever. Awesome nice guys. I am not hopeful for their future, but I am very thankful for most of their catalog.

My all time favorite band and a huge musical influence. Ty's early tones sent me back to the drawing board quite a few times, but eventually I gave up on that one... I never could nail it down with the stuff I had at the time, although it did help me find my way to some other tones that I ended up using a lot, and still do to this day.
Plus Ty was an MX'er, you gotta love that
We saw them in Pensacola at this little club on the beach, I was talking to him afterwards and started to ask him if he wanted to come out to West Fla MX Park the next day and ride a Pro-Circuit modded CR250 on a killer track, but I thought it might piss the other guys off
My understanding of it was they were never happy about his riding, the guys in my band hated that I raced during that time..
I always regretted not asking him, I bet he would have done it :D :D

love them
killer tone in all videos from that time
didn't know that was the marshall 6100 30th anniversary (just started noticing it in some videos)
