I grew up in Vermont as a Yankee fan and watched all the games on wpix. I'm more of a baseball fan now and although I really like the Phillies I find myself pulling for the Yanks.

If Pedro can pull off a win tonight, the series is probably over. Go Phils!

Yeah, just like in 96. They should hit Pedro, but I'm worried about Burnett. And of course Jeter gets 3 hits off Lee.

I thought you hated both teams? Anyway, call me crazy I won't be worried one bit if the Yankees loose tonight. This team reminds me a lot of the team from 1996 that lost the 1st two at home to Atlanta. Once their backs are against the wall, they will rebound. Besides, there will be a lot of Yankees fans that will make the trip to Philly for those games...

He knows me and you are Yankee fans so he wants to be a pain in the ass. Of course if the Yanks win the series you won't hear about baseball from Mark until April.

Yeah, because you and Paige are never a pain in the ass about the teams I like...right.

And Paige, I don't hate the Phillies. No reason to dislike them and I sure as hell hope they beat the Yankees.

Indians fans must be pissed watching Lee V. Sabathia.

Don't get me started :gethim:   .

The indians have become the farm team for the major league. We develop talent and let it go cause ownership doesn't want to pay.

Albert Belle --Prolific Hitter
Manny Ramirez --Future HOF
Omar Vizquel --Future HOF
Bartolo Colon --2005 Cy Young Winner
Cliff Lee --2008 CY Young Winner
CC Sabathia --2007 Cy Young Winner
Jim Thome Future HOF(maybe)
...To name just a few.

Anybody else see a pattern here>>>>?

Yankees are already done.

Of course the World Series is a 1 game series.

I predict a Phillies sweep. Phillies are hot, Yanks are not. Phillies are on a run just like last year...at this point they are nearly unstoppable.

Maybe if Cliff Lee is pitching everyday. Cole Hamels isn't anything like he was last year, i love that Pedro is pitching tonight, and Blanton doesn't scare anyone. If Burnett doesn't implode tonight things will change quickly.

And of course i wish the Yanks had 9 Derek Jeters in the lineup. He had no trouble smacking Lee around while everyone else had swiss cheese bats.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hamels pitches an amazing game. I know he's been borderline bad this year, but I just have a feeling he's gonna step it up when he starts. He's gonna be starting game 3 in Philly right?

Burnett can be hit or miss. One day he gives up 4 dingers, then next it's a shutout with 10 Ks. One thing he does is give that clubhouse emotion and a bulldog style. He's tough even when he's down. I wouldn't be surprised for Hamels to be on and NYY still fight for a win.
