I had a Marshall 2203x I gigged for quite some time. I did eventually put in some MM transformers. I recorded the original transformer then as soon as the change I did another recording to compare - both on the same day, same speaker/mic placement/everything the same. In the room the MM felt more forward, but that could be my imagination lol but recorded the MM definitely had more lower mids and a bit rounder top end
