Just got off the phone with my buddy who’s kids go to Public school. The “new” gender identity is “furries” there’s at least 3 in his daughters school school, 7th grade. They wear animal ears and tails and requested litter boxes be provided in the school for their use. The school has complied and has litter boxes in the bathrooms and nurse’s office. You can’t make this shit up. And this is in the most conservative state in the country. He’s been valiantly fighting with the faculty as his daughter refuses to call people by anything other than their legal name. The result is they can’t do anything about it. I think I need to expedite my moving to Japan

You know...back in the day they had a name for those people. It was called "crazy" and people in functioning society tended to avoid them at all costs. I can only hope that the term "what is old is new again" applies to this situation sooner than later.

While I don't doubt at all you got some shit, sounds like you did, but cancel culture is a different ball of shit than "we don't like you because you're different, and we're gonna give you shit because of it" Ive known christians in 7 states and 3 countries, and while they tend to not hang with people they consider to be across the fence, they don't have the means while in high school to pull off what is considered cancel culture today. Everyone gives people shit in high school who doesn't fit whatever their chosen framework is. I would dare say 80% of people got shit from someone while in high school. You grow up and figure out that most people in high school are mind numbingly stupid. Some until they are in their 40's.
Some of them until the day they clock out ;)
I moved constantly when I was growing up, I watched people of every color, creed and description give other people shit. Nobody has a lock on that I promise you. We know what we experience growing up and assume its the same everywhere, and it is...
Its just not one skin color or one religion. Depending on where you are, it can be anyone. Being an asshole is absolutely and positively universal.
