if someone came up to me and said "asshole, Coverdale is the best rock singer ever", id really have no argument against.

Yeah I saw them over a decade ago and they were toned down at least a step and a half and he was struggling.

Love the band but he’s been done as long as Don Dokken.
I saw them in 2008 on GMM Festival, IIRC...and his singing was already rough back then.

funny story about that:
They played late in the afternoon, it was a hot sunny day and beer was flowing copiously... Def Leppard was playing right before Whitesnake on the main stage, but I missed that show completely, as I became a dreaded 'beer corpse' (like passed out fully), but like 10m (~33') away from the main stage.

When I finally woke up, there was a whole group around me cheering "He's alive!" and that was right when Whitesnake started. Looking back, the bands should've switched...
And to think I "slept" through a whole Def Leppard show, so closeby... :censored:

Oh, and Priest was headlining that day and they played pretty crappy too.

I want to say it’s unforgivable how he treated John Sykes. But it’s forgivable. There comes a time for self reflection. Hopefully before it’s not too late when it does happen.
He wasn't very nice to a lot of people.

Doug Aldrich is one of the most gentle souls there is and Coverdale really upset him by being an absolute douche canoe.
