I don't know much about that guitar, but it sounds great in the video.

Congrats and use it well.

What kind of pickups does it come with, they sound very warm and not too hot which is a good thing.

The pups in the Sterling Luke are ceramic HB's w/a 5 way blade switch and 12db boost push / push volume pot.
Ive had them before, very balanced and compliment the guitar well.

Ceramics, you could've fooled me, thay sound like Alnicos.
That guitar gives you lots of cool tone options, Just with it gave a single coil neck & bridge separately option.
It is very similar to my Ibanez AZ2402 Prestige.

I had the same guitar in blue a year ago but traded it. Ive missed it quite a bit, wanted the purple anyway.
Trades are non-existent here as everybody wants cash for their $1400 Epi.
The used market is saturated and we haven't had a vacation in 2 years so my wife let me buy retail.
The stock pups are nice no reason to replace.
I bought from AMS out east, great outfit. Ive used them for 20 yrs.
Someday would like the Big Boy EBMM Luke, not happening in the current economy.
But we do the right thing all year long so its nice to have a great credit rating and treat yourself once in a blue moon.

All the videos sound great.
You only live once, you have to treat yourself once in a while.

As for the used market....

I think it is better than it used to be.
I used to sell all my stuff at 40-50% off retail before Covid, so I would sell a $2000 guitar for $1000-$1200

After Covid retail prices shot up on everything and now people on the used market are trying to get 75%+ on used gear and then complain the market is bad.

Figure a $2000 guitar you can get 10% off on Brand New with freee shipping = $1800 shipped
Somebody wants $1500 used, for $300 I am grabbing brand new with a return policy all day.
Even at full retail. for $500 I am going Brand New.

Used market is really not like ive ever seen it around here. If i wanna spend 2 days in my car & drive 500+ miles there are offers.
I don't like being that far from home.
Every kid w/a Ibanez or Charvel is expecting 100% retail on a used guitar. Not just kids either.

That is why when I sell my stuff sells, I make sure my stuff is the lowest price on Reverb and even then I end up accepting a reasonable offer
