So I'm trying to come up with the best tone possible with my cabs and speakers. They all sound good with the BE but I'm looking for that perfect combo without having to buy any new speaker. Ok so I have a Mesa 4x12 with two WGS Vet30's (98dB) and two Celestion V30's that were reconed by WGS (Best V30 sound ever but not sure the SPL, maybe 98-99dB.) A Bogner OS2x12 V30 cab, 4x12 Splawn cab with Creamback M65's and Small Block 55's in X-pattern.

So right now I like the Splawn the best especially at higher volumes, but the Mesa V30 cab really rocks with a more clearer punchier tone. I'm going for that Friedman 4x12 Greenies and V30 sound. So I was thinking of putting the reconed Celestion V30's with lower SPL on bottom of Splawn cab and the Creambacks on top.

What do yall think? Sounds like a bunch of labor and soldering to me but I think it'll sound similar to the Friedman cabs with more low end maybe.

A picture for reference..

Nice tower of power!! but it needs a Friedman 4x12 in it IMO...

ahhhh.... I know man. It'll eventually happen I'm sure but I'm convincing myself I can deal without a 4x12 Friedman. Probably won't be able to hold back come tax time next year. I know nothing about how well Friedman cabs are built or the tone, and only know a little about the woods they use. I know nothing of the tone though. I'm hoping two V30's on bottom and two Creambacks on top will get me a little more brightness than the Splawn Small Block speakers produce.
