Great and awesome are subjective like anything else. This stuff might as well be Henry kaiser and anyone else who plays, atonal, microtonal "Music"... dont get it and dont care to... Different and unique doesnt mean good or cool...

I am not pushing the band on anyone. I was saying don't judge the band off one youtube clip. There are albums that are awesome from the get go and albums that take time to appreciate. this band is the latter.
It's annoying to see guys on forums who talk highly about Dokken, Megadeath, whatever. but throw a band in here like Gorguts, The Chasm, Pestilence, whatever and you guys go off calling it complete shit and act like you understand what their doing but you call the bands core. There is nothing core, or core influnced in Portal or the bands I mentioned.

and no glassjaw, this band isn't going for a "groove" like old school death metal bands (what I mainly listen to along with Jazz) but more of an atmosphere. I thank you for checking them out more (granted, going from SYL to Portal is a pretty big step) and thank you for the links I'll check em out.
