Cargo largo has retail stores, this type of thing is what their business is based on. Buying bulk lots from all over then reselling. Hopefully these happenings are legit and not theft driven.

If this is indeed Mr. Duder's lost baby, I've got just enough faith left in humanity to believe that the seller still has the opportunity and although unwritten, the moral obligation to do right.

Regardless of how this shakes out, Mr. Duder needs to crack down on UPS if he hasn't already.

Man that blows. Pretty sure UPS asks the shipper for the value of the parcel. Not sure if insurance is automatically placed on their shipments or not. USPS Automatically adds $100 insurance but if the shipper wants more then its up to them to purchase it. I always insure everytime I ship. Never know what the hell is gonna going to happen.

Cargo largo probably bought a lot of unclaimed stuff from UPS. Many people/companies do this. That being said duder needs to pull that Ebay add and go back to UPS to get something. Shitty part is, UPS would use it against him and only give him $810 probably as current market value.

Years ago I paid UPS to pack and ship a soldano Sl-60 head for me. It got destroyed. They fought me for a month about paying the damages at all and when they were finally paid, they only paid my sales price, not what it would actually cost to replace it.

$810 if youre the greatest guy in the world. $1,000 if you can't stand selling it without making some $, I'd also make sure it was 100% his of course. Ask him some questions only he would know to verify. According to what I see this looks like his for sure. My buddy even said Mike had told him about the situation. Also depends if he was compensated at all for anything.

I have a 1 out of 100 ever made head, I would be devastated if it were lost, it's one of those things that can't be replaced. Everything I Have ever found on DAR FBM heads says there were less than a dozen ever made. So, yeah, I'd be beside myself. I have(from what I know) 1 of 2 DAR FBM 100 cabinets ever built with a center post. It's very unlikely I would part with this cabinet for any reason, although I would really like to see it paired with an FBM 100 head, & it's unlikely I will ever be able to get one, unfortunately.

In my opinion, 2k seems like a great deal for both of you. You more than double your money, and get to be a good guy doing something decent. He gets his baby back without breaking his balls to badly. Nothing but good thoughts going to both of you from me. V/R, Martin.
