I recently picked up a DAR FBM cabinet, it's an amazing piece of work, can't imagine what one of the heads would be like on top of this cab.

From what I could find is that the builds were very intensive and expensive, he was likely under charging for the amps, one source I spoke to said one head from start to finish took about 40 days to make(FBM). I heard he refunded most if not all of everyone(just what I heard, I do not know the facts). For now there's only a handful of his heads out there and if/when they go for sale they bring serious $. I'm always keeping my eye open for an FBM head!

Have you though of putting it on reverb?

Or Ebay, after all he said he's looking for the highest bidder.

I bought my dar fbm cabinet from a worker that worked with mike and helped build the cabinets and more. He knows nothing about Mike shipping any heads. I've been in contact with him since I bought the cabinet. What do you know that he doesn't?

So now we know where diezelduders lost FBM is. How very strange....

Yeah, you do have a point... Finding a tech who want to fix it would be complicated. They might charge you buy the hour since they would have to reverse engineer the whole thing...

Diezelduder smokes for sure,so it's not from a smoke free environment.

It went back to mike to get the input jack/buffer circuit fixed. A common issue on this amp if you're not careful, happened to me too. When mike shipped it back to diezelduder it got lost by ups. He says he didn't get jack for compensation. Really fucked him up for a while. This new guy got it fair and square off eBay. It appears from the listing (which only showed images of the back of the amp) that one of the l.e.d colors knob is missing. It was the second to last one mike sold, number 8.

Trust me when I tell you that mike has moved on after the debacle that was this amp. He has been a great friend to me, but I wouldn't be able to get him to fix my DARs if something happened...and I wouldn't ask him to. I want a second one as a backup, and because it is much easier for a super competent tech to troubleshoot one IF you have a working one also to go against. But a normal amp tech won't really cut it. The micro soldering and glass chip resistors and custom burned I.c chips (I watched mike burn his own chips at his shop) make it more complicated that I think most people can imagine. I think mike fortin could fix one,as I've been told he works on kempers. But nothing inside my FBM looks like a normal amp.

Search for completed listings. Don't do it though, it will make you cry, become very upset at yourself, and want to slap yourself repeatedly over and over for somehow missing it. I regularly search Dar on Craigslist and eBay, and missed this one. If this is diezelduders I can't imagine how he feels.
