Looks like we’re getting serious again.. 😂 I love my OS with the Krankenstein (for that early As I Lay Dying Tones) It has its place for sure but my preference is definitely the traditional. Something about the darker tighter sound.. really lets me push the treble/presence a lil more on the amp, & open it up the way I like. If you’re a Mesa guy they’re both a must have. My buddy & I have a hunch that during the early 2000s even though a lot of bands played with the big lady on the stage the sound of the albums really seem to be reamped by the engineer through traditional cabs… or something similar.. Might be way off but it just sounds that way… or they really darkened the capture from big mama..:dunno:

Not the expert in the room but I would not doubt it at all. Besides, there is SO much stuff recorded with Marshalls + Marshall-V30s cabs that it can get a little ear fatigue time :dunno:
