Hey Jeremy can you do vid with passive humuckers? Just curious what humbuckers would soundlike in comparison with the P90's.

How much are these and are these in stock for sale somewhere?
Yeah no problem. I'll get something up.

Wow I really like that tone.

This pedal really jumped out to me in your pedal shootout. Really digging the bright, tight, crisp, and uncompressed attack that this adds. Also, like the extra midrange grind and growl that it seems to add without being honky, which is critical for me since I would be using this with a IIC+.

Have not been into pedals until now. Am going down the rabbit hole of experimentation with a handful of options to try to get everywhere I want to go with just the IIC+ for the time being. So trying to pedal my way to squeezing something closer to the Wizard MCII or MTL as well as the Mi Audio Gamma/Beta out of the IIC+, which I would generally explain as adding some extra bite, midrange grind, retain a tight but full bottom end, andavoid compression.

Ordered a KHDK Ghoul Screamer and Airis Savage Drive yesterday to kick things off. Definitely looking at the the Deadweald Duality DX. Also, considering the Airis Parallel Overdrive V2, KSR Eros EQ, and Wizard Leopard. Any other recommendations that I should also consider?

You are going to dig the Deadweald. I have a couple showing up today. The DX is supposed to have an additional channel plus a built in noise gate that you can use with or without the boost engaged. There is another version in the middle of the Duality and the Duality DX without the noise gate. I ended up selling my VFE Standout and my Maxon OD808 after getting the Duality then I got a KSR Eros after having the Duality and ended up selling the Eros. Im using mine with a Mark IV at the moment

Thanks. Awesome to hear. Trying to stage my buying a bit and try 4 pedals for now then do another round, if needed, after giving these a spin. Is there a few must try options to consider alongside the Deadweald Duality, Airis Savage Drive, and KHDK Ghoul Screamer.

It's all trial and error. I am just new to this part of the game, so want to try to build as much of an inventory of options as possible.

Ive had the Savage Drive and the KHDK but they didnt last either. I really really like the Friedman Buxom Boosts, the KSR Eros is really nice and extremely versatile. I really like Klon type pedals as well cause they dont really change your tone in a huge way but just give you "more" of what you love about your amp. I hated the Fortin Blade. The EQD Plumes seems like a really good choice as well. Everyone's taste are different but I seem to have figured that for a 90% of the boosts out there sound relatively the same. The VFE Standout was really nice but its a mid booster with HP/LP filter controls.

Unfortunately for me it was a lot of trial and error. I dont keep stuff that Im not actively using except I have a Boss BD-2 and a fuzz pedal laying around somewhere that I will hang on to.

Thanks! That is helpful. I need to revisit the Friedman Buxom Boost and will dig into the rest of these recs.

I've been going through some OD's lately and have the Maxon OD808, Buxom Boost and SD 805. Have you ever tried the 805?

I think the Duality is a great pedal but for me it lacked the warmth and richness I hear in a good tube screamer. Watch Ola and his boost shootout. For my tastes, the TS and Precision jump out along with the 808. The Fortin and Duality, sounded too modern or clinical to me? Hard to explain, but it's such a personal thing.

I do however like the Eros although it could get replaced with the Catalinbread Maxon 808 when it arrives.

The Eros is unique in that it is so tweak able and you really need to crank the gain and/or level to get it wet up correctly. The gain adds a tiny amount of dirt but that impacts how much affect the EQ has.
It is however the best boost I have found for a Mark series amp. Again, this is all subjective.
