Great band with a great work ethic, still love these guys like I did when I was 14.
im sure the money helps.....That's pretty cool how Viv can go back and forth between solo guitarist in the Dio bands and be the #2 guy and just lay down the killer rhythm for Phil.
I can't hear anything off with his voice... There is a podcast floating around where Viv and Phil talk about the work Joe put in to get his voice in shape a couple of years agoHe definitely sounds better here than some of that ish we heard from Vegas. I love Def Leppard and I hate to dog on them (like all the other bands really) because they are all my heroes and they are rich rock stars and I am not but....
His voice sounds doctored in some way here. I agree that Vince will probably have a tough time. This is why I'm skipping this tour as much as I want to go.
Pretty sure lots of bands play to click tracks and backing tracks. Dream Theater is open about it. And their entire fan base has got to be anal basement guitar players on Internet forums, so if they get a pass, everyone should. It's better than when I saw them.... but they are still running the set from a laptop with click tracks. I wouldn't be surprised if there was backing tracks thrown in. If a modern band did this they wouldn't get such an easy pass.
I know loads of bands do it... most prog metal gigs it's almost normalized.... but for old 4/4 3 minute pop rock hits, it seems a bit pointless. I know they sync the tracks to the video screens etc, but the whole set is on rails... not very rock n rollPretty sure lots of bands play to click tracks and backing tracks. Hell Yeah..I was cranking "Wasted" and "High and Dry" daily...Man,"On thru the night" and "High and dry" were huge albums for me.
Got sick of "Pyromania" real quick. Every chick was blasting it in their camero or truck.
Every metal band in Texas was playing "Wasted" and "High and dry" in their set in the early 80s.
Def Leppard have been doing that for decades. It is very rock and roll. And, it works.I know they sync the tracks to the video screens etc, but the whole set is on rails... not very rock n roll

one of the first songs i learned on my first e.gtr.
hohner strat copy into a peavey tko80 bass amp. ross distortion box.
nuge/cat scratch fever, black flag/jealous again, and deep p/smoke rounded out my set list.?

Na. Your wrong in every sense of the word. Rock n roll is 3-4-5 dudes standing on stage, playing their instruments, mistakes and all.Def Leppard have been doing that for decades. It is very rock and roll. And, it works.
I have a feeling other bands wouldn't get a pass for doing the same thing. I know for a fact folks here aren't a fan of laptop live acts. I don't get how it's "rock n roll" to play to a click so you can project cringey scenes of "old days" on a screen. Next I bet they'll get a pass for the vocal backing tracks, but heaven forbid if pop acts do it haha.Def Leppard have been doing that for decades. It is very rock and roll. And, it works.
