So what do we think besides the fact that watching paint dry is almost as exciting as this song is now ... I was just doing vocal scratch tracks for a crappy song I am working on and I can tell you that when I pull away from the mic, there is an audible difference in the volume of my voice. Yes there is hella compression but....... I'm not so sure. Probably a vocal recorded on a good day so it sounds current but pumped in as needed. I can tell you Celine sure as shit does this so doubtful these dudes can keep up a stadium tour without doing it at their age. She has always taken care of her voice. A lot of these guys smoked ciggies and partied. Anyway, I guess I just kept this thread going when it should probably die but hey, that's what we do here..... click click click click (track)

the guitar part Bruce is "playing" ... he ain't playing
Not so sure about that.. it cuts out when he drops it and yells over it. He also does play very basic guitar. I'm watching his picking hand as well and he's tight enough. If anything they would of had a guy off stage playing it back then. So technically, still "live" lol. But again, I just can't seem to let this thread go..

nah he aren't .. this vid shows it clearly at around 2.03 .. he clearly stops playing as he walks towards the mic/front of the stage and the clean picking keeps going

Ha! I would say what we are seeing here is the fact that Live After Death like all great " live albums" was not truly " live" and a lot of it was fixed in the studio. So the combination of the live footage they chose to use and the guitar they have playing don't synch but his picking is in time with the music. Also the note gets a tad sloppier near the 2:00 mark meaning he probably starting moving or like i said, footage doesn't match the audio. Honestly. I am not being a jerk here it is just a very logical assumption to make that it is live and fixed in post for a " live" album. It was 85', they weren't going to chance that in a live show. If anything it would be a guy playing off stage though I honestly don't think that's the case here.

Exhibit A your honour, we need to find the bootlegs from the shows to know what he played or didn't play,, let's do it lol:

Live After Death is a live album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, originally released in October 1985 on EMI in Europe and its sister label Capitol Records in the US (it was re-released by Sanctuary/Columbia Records in the US in 2002 on CD and by Universal Music Group/Sony BMG Music Entertainment on DVD). It was recorded at Long Beach Arena, California and Hammersmith Odeon, London during the band's World Slavery Tour.

The video version of the concert only contains footage from the Long Beach shows.

Bruce had a habit of not playing it through at times... exhibit B your honour. I'm intending to show a pattern in Bruce's picking hand. Here we have 1983

Can't really hear any backing guitar here

I see they posted up the lyrics for Vince in case he forgets. Clever!

Lol brilliant isn't it? I have to say, Poison is the only band up there with any fire left. Weakest material but most drive. CC is bringing it. Motley well....Mick Mar's tone is the real hero of this reunion, he sounds huge with monstrous tone. I'd love a rig run down.

Man they were tight back then. Always a great band but really, that run 82-let's say Seventh Son.. they were really dialed in and Bruce sounded fantastic for the most part. I saw them on the Fear of the Dark Tour and it was a little loose. I am guessing that might have been because of jerk off all over Janick though.

post memes because you have exhausted your level of intelligence? Did someone hurt you bad while DL was on the radio or something dude
I proved they used tracks after you said they didn't use tracks, what else do you need from me? Why all the emotional outbursts?

If I say they aren't using tracks, will that help you move on?

just look up what "using tracks" means .. Eddie Trunk will tell you

saw crue a few years ago and mick's 5 minute guitar solo was pathetic. feedback, harmonics, and whammy bar yanks and dives. not knockin the guy-people were like "wow man..". His sound was thunderous and everything was on point during the songs. Vince though----ugh....

I agree. I've seen them years ago, and Mick was not any better. But, I don't want to rank on him because he is sick.

I thought Vince sounded surpringly good. Much better than I had expected him to sound. I thought all of the bands did well from the clips I have heard.
