Well my parents aren't originally from Venezuela. They are middle eastern. Due to the Israel/Palestine conflict, a significant amount of Palestinians, majority Christian, ended up in South America. At one point Venezuela along with other south American countries were the place to go for jobs and what not. For Venezuela, that changed not long after my parents arrival.
