Sean,
I have read your opinions on the horrible country to your south for years now. I'm the one on the high horse? Holy crap, now THAT is funny. You have a really tall soap box on top of the highest horse ever.

So don't worry about us ok buddy. We're gonna be just fine which is good news for you. As long as everything is just fine here everything will be just fine for you there, little pilot fish.

I thought his speech was boring, and sounded like just about every one of is other speechs I've seen. Full of pomp and shit with no real meaning. If he added something about serving in viet nam in each of his speechs, he'd sound just like John Kerry. He's a nothing more than a socialist douchebag.

personally i don't get the part about him being a great speaker myself?

sure i'm a white trash ultra conservative redneck, but i'm willing to acknowledge a decent bullshit slinger when i see one. and he sure ain't very good at it!

He's better at it then Bush and i bet he can say Nuclear the right way. Bush has been bullshitting us for the past 8 years. At least maybe Obama can actually fix a few issues instead of playing golf and hiding away at Camp David. And I still haven't seen any reason to think McCain would be a good choice.

My biggest problem with Obama is how he plans on "fixing" the issues. Higher taxes, more regulations, and if you think oil and gas prices are bad now we're going to be completely fucked if he takes over.

McCain isn't a good choice, but he is the lesser of two evils.

Eh, things are completely fucked as it is. And if they aren't, they're on their way.

I fail to see how being even more conservative then the current administration would help?

Bush isn't a conservative, His administration has spent money like it's going out of style. McCain is even less Conservative. The only way we can get out of this mess is if the Government stops bloating itself. The last elections gave the liberals power in the Congress and Senate. Where has that taken us so far? vastly higher oil prices and absolutely nothing accomplished with an approval rating on both that makes Bush's approval rating look like he's a God.

you guys are pretty picky about your new president (candidate) considering the fact that you've elected Bush 2 times :D

you're from texas, in the general presidential election your vote automagically goes to the republican candidate anyways. No need to show up to the polls.

and the second time at that

After 8 years of a pure dog shit of an excuse for a president (let alone human being), it's time for change.. big change and another republic sure as hell will NOT do that. My vote goes to Barack, sure he says a lot of things like "hope" and "change", and you'll never know if he'll follow through, but the same can be said about any presidential candidate saying anything. I could go on more and more, but I don't want to start an internet fight over politics

I am republican anyway so I do not buy into the liberal belief that you take from the working man to give to the lazy bastard. I do not trust him or his wife based on my own research and watching him, those are my opinions just as you have yours.

Politics aside this is prehaps the most horrible and ridiculous thing I have read in sometime.

You claim to go to Church? Well I'm not aware of a religion that doesn't preach some form of charity to those elss fortunate! What's wrong with government regulating that? Especially in vases of disability or mental issues? What happened to reducing homelessness? It's all very well to say a homeless person should go get a job, but whose going to hire them! It's a vicious cycle, I can't understand why your advocating the government stand by and watch millions of people within America starve when they could spend a little to help them enormously. To me thats ghastly!

Straight from his books, make your own conclusion as to the future of our country in his hands.

From Dreams of My Father: 'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'

From Dreams of My Father : 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.'

From Audacity of Hope:
'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'
Jesus - if I were judged today for thoughts and feelings I had when I was 12 I'd be in jail for severe perversion.

Foreigners seem real interested in American politics, more so then we are of their governments it seems
