Yeah, Obama didn't put his hand on his heart. If you'll read the article you'll notice numerous times where he did in fact put his hand over his heart.
But hey, flag pin mentality.

Again your credibility in general is mute. Chubtone summed you up pretty well IMHO.

"Moot" is the word you're looking for.

Thanks for that you are partly correct. Moot is the word I meant to use, but mute is what I want out of you. And do not end your sentences in prepositions.

Technically, there's no English rule for ending sentences in prepositions. It came from an old Latin rule, and some English scholars who loved Latin tried to implement it. Also, by constantly following that rule, it can make you sound extremely "bookish" and stiff. Remember, English comes primarily from German, not Latin.

Anyway, please continue. :D

Is that the power of Google speaking, or did you get a degree in English or Lit? :salute:

I always wanted to minor in English. I usually think of English rules I remembered from middle school and whatnot, and then look them up. I'm always trying to find ways on how to teach English to others, since I might go to Japan and teach it. It actually helps me when I'm learning Japanese, too. I'd be lying if I said I didn't look it up on Google at some point, but I knew the answer prior to responding, if that's what you're wondering.

Interesting information that I did not know. Thanks for contributing.

I'm surprised it's taken this long for anyone to come up with that tired old accusation. Oh well, Better than taking your marching orders from Al "Stuart Smalley" Franken like you guys. ;)

:D Forgot to mention this:

I recently heard McCain comparing the threat of Iran equal to the threat of the old Soviet Union.  The USSR had thousands of nukes, most of them pointed at us, both on the ground and in satellites. Iran has some pieces of a centrifuge....not one nuke. lol We still went to the diplomacy table with the Soviet Union, but with Iran that's a 'bad idea', and Obama is being taken to task for saying that. Oh the hilarity!

See, this is the kinda shit that makes me think that McCain, albeit a sweet old man, is a total moron, playing off the fear of the uneducated lemmings.

Don't forget him running on a platform of national security and curbing terrorism - when he doesn't even know the difference between a Sunni and a Shiite and who is doing what with Iran.

John McCain - Qualified.

Don't forget that the man you think should be the president of these United States actually said that he had visited all 57 states.

Obama - Qualified.

He has a brain but of course you get your ideas from radio talk show hosts MF. He is one of those liberals that can read your mind. I think we know who the real knobs are in this discussion. But with quotes like this "Oh, and I hope you get stabbed in the face with a bag of dicks.", there has got to be a lot of brain not used.

The main beef I had was when the kid was telling us we need to adopt a socialized medice practice based on facts that were totally incorrect.

I didn't say this. I said your current health care system isn't really up to par with places I've experienced in other countries. Obviously universal health care got brought up. I said it was my preference.

Just one question for nosebleedkid. I found your comments about Australia having the most beautiful women in the world followed by Melbourne having the 2nd highest amount of Vietnamese people living in it curious. Are you Vietnamese?

No. I teach Vietnamese kids for a living though. They are pretty rad.

Yes, because a silly gaffe where he meant to say 47 states (and qualified it by saying that he wanted to visit Alaska and Hawaii and one other state but could not go) but fucked up is totally akin to not knowing basic facts about a conflict that you're resting your entire campaign upon, saying you have the experience and skills to see it to success.

So nosebleedkid and cloudnine are both university students? And we are arguing with them still? We all know how much smarter we were than the "grown ups" when we were in college.

Nosebleedkid is freaking hilarious though. What a knob. The guy starts disputing information from newspaper articles because he is not sure if the research and info was gathered in the proper fashion, then he has the freaking audacity to post something like this? LMAO at the noob at life.

I credited my source, I said it was only from conversations. I didn;t proclaim it as universal fact, I didn;t use it to credit any kind of argument, apart from this is what the people I've asked have said to me.

Quite a bit different from publishing something as fact in a media report.

If you want to discount my opinion because I'm from University thats fine, your loss.

Well I don't know how much more scientific you can get than that. I am going to need to print that up and hand it out to the boatloads of Chinese sneaking out of their country to come to the west. Obviously there are TONS of people from "the west" clamoring to get into China and Singapore to better their lives and to have less individual freedom. Our country is almost empty with people leaving trying to get into all the other obviously superior countries in the world.

I know plenty of people from AUstralia and England that are trying to get to China and Singapore for business. I DON'T know many Chinese and Singaporeans fleeing there country in terror. I know more people immigrating from America than China, Singapore or Vietnam (at this point in time, not the past). Considering I work with largely immigrant families I get exposed to more immigrants than the usual dude.

And those Chinese students going to school in Australia are there why? I'd type more but my hands are shaking too much from laughter.

Because Universty here is better, easier to get into, cheaper and more internationally credited than theirs.

Freaking college kids are so educational aren't they?

I was one myself and man I used to get into it with my parents and my boss. They were such idiots. Instead of them learning from me when I was so obviously smarter, time went on and I became an idiot too.

Presuming that my parents or lecturers don't agree with me - in which you'll find you are wrong.

Wait, I'm so educational?
