click bait gets me every time

You know what? That tone is wicked :rock:

Too bright and too much mids IMO. Playing KSE hurts the brutal claim too...

Sounds good to me. No pedals, just channel 3 I assume?

Tell us about the guitar and pickups too.

#1 Not my playing ... LOL The DIs came from the Andy Sneap Forum and they were played on Schecter C1 with EMG 81/85 it was played by Jeff Dunne
#2 Mini Tube Screamer in front with a bit of dirt
#3 Blue Channel

As for too bright and too much mids, we arent looking for Low F# Djent here kiddo. It doesnt have to be tuned to the bowels of hell and super mid scooped to be brutal....lol

TS Settings are
Gain - 9:00
Tone - 1:00
Level - Max

5150iii Settings -
Blue Channel
Gain - 11:00
Mids - 10:00
Highs - 2:30
Presence - 2:00
Resonance Control - Max

Cabinet -
EVH 2x12 w/ Celestion Heritage 30s (stock speakers)

Mic -
Audix i5

Interface-
Focusrite Scarlett 6i6

Post Processing -
High Pass at 80hz

its slightly too bright and high middy, but im thinking with a 57 instead of an i5 it would be real good.

First off, I thought it sounded killer. As a new Evh convert, I love how brutal this thing gets, and how easy it is to play through. As far as referring to Drock as kiddo and implying he was looking for djent tones or whatever assumption you were making. Not cool. He's been here for eleven years; and IF he was a kid when he started, I would ASSume he's not by now...

Way to go straight to language dude. All I said is not cool. You'll go far.

guitar tone sounds ok. Your online tone sux,kiddo. Lol! (since I used the lol,it made it all ok,right?)

It sounds pretty good, I also think it's a little bright overall but that's just my preference. I like more of a hefty thicker sounding chugging palm mute with less highs & mids...

<begin old man rant>

And for the record I thought only djent kids raised on Metalocalypse and Call of Duty called tones brutal? :lol: :LOL: Back in my day tones were heavy or badass :thumbsup:

<end old man rant>

Damn you, you young know it all whipper snappers! :lol: :LOL:

Sounds pretty good to me.

As I age, I find that I lean toward a slightly brighter tone. Probably high end hearing loss that I am not aware of yet! Probably should have someone else in the room helping me to EQ so that I don't rip someones head off standing in front of the 4X12.
