Diezel 4X12's are listed as being 8 ohms mono, or 16 ohms stereo. How can this be? I always thought that if a cab was 8 ohms mono, it'd be 4 ohms stereo? Or 16 ohms mono = 8 ohms stereo? Are the individual speakers 8 or 16 ohms? Does anyone have a picture of an opened Diezel 4X12? I'm very interested in getting one, but really want a 16 ohm mono cab. My Mesa's are 8 ohms. Anyone know the tonal differences in an 8 ohm vs 16 ohm cab?

Sorry about all the questions, but I'd like all the facts before I make a purchase. And yes, I will make final decision by ear! Thanks!

Some have 8 Ohm speakers installed (even 4x12).

2x8 wired series: 16 (stereo setting)
two pairs (of 8 Ohm speakers wired series) wired in parallel: 8 Ohm (mono setting)

ok?

I'm sure that not all cabs are wired like this and that Diezel sometimes uses 16 Ohm speakers (16 Ohm mono, 8 Ohm stereo). Just ask Salwender or your dealer.

Thanks Dues! Is there any tonal difference between an 8 ohm and 16 ohm cab?
