Diezel FL vs. Diezel RL 412 cab

Hey guys, I am probably going to get a Diezel cabinet this weekend and I have a choice of a RL or FL Diezel 412 with V30s in both. What are the main differences and which do you guys prefer in general? Thanks!

I have a FL now, used to own a RL. I prefer the FL - very tight and thick sounding. Both are great cabs though.

i know ther diff brands and what not but im sure the quality is pretty much identical

but i owned a rear loaded bogner uber cab and i tried my friends front loaded uber cab and the front loaded sounded alot better

it was alot more open sounding and clearer, not only that but it seemed like it could handle louder volumes better and the bass on the front loaded could be pushed harder without the speakers sounding like they were farting out

i ran a twin jet through both cabs so if you have a really powerful head like say a diezel vh4 or herbert id go front loaded

Depends on the styles you play. Ive always been told that id like RL better and have always been happy with both the RL diezels that ive had. From what ive heard the RLs are more versitile and a bit warmer than the frontloads. ..which is my cup of tea. It also depends of course on which head you have. I like my rl through the herbert and have heard from many people they prefer the rl over the fl for that particular head but to each his own. Plenty of guys doing both. Neither will make you any better or worse of a player, but they may however inspire you differently. Im totally convinced that diezel doesnt make even a mediocre sounding cabinet as of yet. All of them i think are totally top of the line and matched very well for their heads.

It would be great if you could play both and then report back about what you heard and liked better..

The guy that is selling them has both (the guy has some serious gear and he seems to know what is good ) ....I'll give them both a try before I pull the trigger. I was reading around on here about them and good 'ol Terry Hicks was raving about them and how they are so much better than the old ones, may have been a marketing ploy though, would take his opinion with a grain of salt.

I hope to have a Diezel head in the future and don't know if it'll be VH4 or Herbert, but probably Herbert. Right now I got a Mesa Road King II and I know V30s are the speakers for it.
