Diezel Hagen and MIDI

Hi folks. I'm currently waiting on the arrival of a recently purchased Hagen. While reading the manual online I saw that the MIDI connections are of the 7 pin variety. Now, all of my MIDI controlled effects and amps use 5 pin, so I am wondering if it is possible to use the 5 pin into the Hagen.

Yeah, it'll work fine. The extra 2 pins are just there to provide phantom power to a footswitch.
