The Diezel VH2 is one of those amps that I've wanted really badly for some time. Anytime I had the money they weren't in stock but a while ago I was able to snatch a new one with EL34s from a German music store!

This thing is amazing! It has some of the best cleans I've ever heard but the higher gain tones are so good. Really huge bottom end and a cool texture and sag to the tone that is really unique. This amp stands very tall in a mix!

I did an in-depth review of the amp with various guitars and tones. If you're interested:

Great video!!! That Diezel VH tone is still the most unique high gain sound out there in my opinion. Have yet to play an amp that duplicates it's character. pretty polarizing amp, seems people absolutely love it...Or are thoroughly unimpressed. It's amazing how much impact the presence has on the overall response of the amp, I certainly prefer mine pretty high. Also, this amp was designed around low - medium output pickups...But those active and hot passives sure sound great. The VH4 may be the best amp I've ever owned.

Awesome man, been waiting for this since the unboxing. I've never played a VH2 (own the VH4) but it definitely does the thing. Agree with everything you said about the amp - such a unique character to the gain that I absolutely love.

awesome vid Jon... I have a custom made pedal based on the vh4's channel 3....and it's named after my penis-Thor's Hammer....lol....

that pedal rips .... has a Power amp out on it besides the regular out .... plug it right into your effects loop return and Boomshockalocka !
that's the way. I was basically using it as a boost slamming the front end......when I finally tried the power amp out into the loop.....FUCK.....insane....get one Japetus..the pedal-not my penis...you won't be disappointed with it.....unlike my wife....

I think I will be talking to Wayne about this soon if he is still making them....sounds badass!!!

Love my VH2.

Agree with you on the cleans. I just got a hand wired priceton clone and have hand wired Ac15 clone. The VH2 cleans can hang with both. It also hung with my old Mark V25 fat channel cleans.

But those others can't hang with the VH2 for dirty.

I love ch1 boosted with a blues driver for that agressive open crunch sound. And flip to ch2 with no boost for some more compressed smooth high gain.

Mine has 6L6s

Nice video too.

Great to see you in this group! Will check out your demo

Jon you always make the best demos, and I have said it before. Relevant tones. I really like this and have shown interest in this amp for awhile. I think this might have sealed the deal that this amp is for me. A good clean, a good OD. And I just love that grind. I play a lot of Hum, Failure, STP stuff and I think this amp would work perfect. Was a huge fan of the Einstein as well, but the more aggressive aspect of this amp could work well. I am between this, an Einstein and a 5150 Iconic. Have you done the 5150 iconic in depth?

I haven't tried the Iconic but it seems like a cool amp...
