Just scored a great deal on a Digitech GSP1101 and Control 2 from "retrojet" here on RT.
My aim is to put a Marshall JMP1 preamp in the loop and use the GSP for front end and post preamp FX.
Both the JMP1 outputs and the GSP loops have level select switches for +4db and -10db.
What would be the setting which i should use when connecting these units and what is the rule regarding these levels in general ?
My chain: Gtr->GSP input->GSP Loop Out->JMP Input->JMP stereo Outs->GSP Stereo Loop Returns--> GSP Mono Out-> 5150 Return (Poweramp only)
Havent gotten a chance to play much with the GSP yet, but direct to the 5150 return and setup for poweramp in, cab sims off, it sounded quite nice for a digital unit. Much more natural than the Line 6 stuff i have played.
Will post detailed review once ive jammed some more and gotten to learn it.
Thanks
Faisal
