Distortion Pedal Recommendation

Just joined a new band that will require me to add some modern rock tones (think Foo Fighters, Three Days Grace, Seether, etc) to my arsenal that I'm not currently set up to get. I'm using a Friedman Marsha that I have set up for more a more classic heavy tones and I don't want to be changing amp settings in between songs. What I'd like to do is add a pedal that I can use with the Full Clean channel on the Marsha to get what I'm after. The Friedman Full Clean stays clean, not a hint of breakup, so I need the pedal to do it all.

What should I be looking at? A couple that intrigue me are the Bogner Uber pedal and the Wampler Triple Wreck but I've never tried either one of them.

I always thought the OCD was more of a "color" pedal that you use with an already distorting amp....you use it with a clean sound?

The Wampler DualFusion looks pretty versatile so, you could probably get a lot of mileage out of it. My bandmate also gets a mean high-gain sound out of his DeVille hitting it w/a EHMetalMuffw/TopBoost (kinda surprised myself...)

Barber Dirty Bomb would do what you want. I have a bogner red too and I think the Barber is what you are looking for. Keep in mind that with pedals like the Triplewreck and dirty bomb, that they don't cut as well as a Marshally style pedal like the Bogner red.

Went back and read your whole post. The OCD won't do what you want it to do. I use mine with a Bassman to get classic rock type tones. I don't care for it as a boost because it's pretty open. Like my TS9 for boosting. I'd look at the Wampler Triple Wreck. It's a beast.

Triple wreck was cool, but got really muddy at higher gain. <I liked it better at mid-gain

The Suhr Riot is great for this use. Takes a clean channel to whatever level of distortion you want...

I found the Bogner Red extremely versatile

I would just use the Marsha for the Foo Fighters and Three Days Grace material. It will do an adequate job. I don't think your audience will walk out in disappointment Bill.

For a little more modern aggression, layer a pedal on top of the dirty channel!

Bogner Blue? Is that some kind of joke? Great pedal but there's not much gain there and certainly no heavy.
I was completely shocked the first time I plugged into the TW. I still find it hard to believe that pedal exists.

Why wouldn't you just boost the Classic tone you have set up? It will sound less pedal-ish. When I think of the bands you listed I hear a more open, higher gain. Try a Himmestrutz U/O. Great pedal to boost with, or stack in front of other pedals. And of course the GTO kills - though it has a big footprint.
