Suhr riot or the throttle box from mesa. The riot can do it all but if you want rectifier in a box the throttle box is the ticket as that's what it was designed to do.
Well put...that's exactly right. Boosting the BE or HBE channel doesn't get me where I want to be because as you noted, the voicing is still very "Marshall" and mid-strong. The full clean uses a blackface Fender circuit (subtle midrange) so I'm thinking that it will be a much better platform for the more modern tones.thenine":2u7v7u83 said:He is trying to achieve (if Im correct) a more modern, darker, rectoish heavy tone that is not featuring the high mids, classic Marshall sound that he has setup as his main dirt. He wants a pedal to run on his clean channel to cop the modern tones of Foo Fighters, Seether etc. My choice is Triple Wreck, it will do exactly what you are after.

Some other interesting pedals that I've run across that were fun to research were Toneczar Openhaus, Okko Dominator, Weehbo Morbid Drive, Pitbull III Hardwire Distortion. Any of these would be quite different from the Marsha I think.

Bogner Blue? Is that some kind of joke? Great pedal but there's not much gain there and certainly no heavy.
I was completely shocked the first time I plugged into the TW. I still find it hard to believe that pedal exists.![]()

I have yet to see a good review of the Wampler SLOstortion and the clips don't sound that great either. I would look past that one.
